Introduction

The pyrite deposit of "Ampliación a Victoria" is located about 4 km of the Navajún town, in the Alcarama mountain-chain. The deposit was discovered in 1965 and, through the years, the Navajún Pyrite has been completely introduced in the international mineral market, being very apreciated for the collectors; it has also become a standard of Spanish mineralogy. In addition, thanks to this subject, Navajún Pyrite is now one of the symbols of La Rioja (Spain).
